US Flag flown at Wapiti Webelos Woods @ Adventure Cove. Flag was flown in Afghanistan Airspace in a C-17 and on ground as part of a mission. US Flag was sent to Pack 221 as thank you for letter writing campaign during Feb 2010 Blue & Gold. It was requested that during any special Cub Scout. Boy Scout events, that it be flown.
I asked the powers that be if Pack 221 could bring this flag and have it used. I was asked to explain the significance of this particular Flag. I explained, and stated that we are flying it in his honor and all those who served and are serving.
Unbeknownst to me, it was also his birthday weekend.
