Off today for the last installment of Wood Badge Staff Training. This is our third one. Next time we meet will be in Gilwell. I still have a lot to prepare, but still excited.
Friday night was a SCOUTNATION Chat hosted over at PTCMEDIA.com. I missed the first one, and this one was great. Met a few new people due to the #100daysofscouting. Great Scouters. My hope is that someday we all meet in person. A Philmont meet-up would be great. But, it looks like a Northern Tier would be closer for everyone.
I went out late yesterday with my son and bought his new Webelos uniform & book. Instead of the tradtional hat, he got one with lights on it. It’s Dark Blue with the BSA Eagle on it. I think it would last longer and used more. I also got him a Cubscout Knife. Once he gets his Whittlin Chip, officaly at the Pack meeting, then he can use it. I will hold onto it until then.
All of this reminds me that traditions start everyday and have to be continued.
