Have you earned all the 100 Years of Celebration ribbons? What about other Scouters in your Unit as well as the boys?

I completed earning all ribbons as a part of my Wood Badge ticket. For me, it was a simple enough to say :I am going to earn it. However, working through each item proved to be somewhat of a challenge.

The hardest one for me was “Character”. I chose the do a good turn daily for seven days. I kicked it off with donating blood at the Red Cross. Which turned into having the Red Cross letting me know that I am a very good canidate for Apherisis. I still do it to this day…(which reminds me, I need to setup my next appointment).

For Achivement, I helped the Unit earn the Centennial Quality Unit award for the first time in a while. We are on track to earn the 2010 as well. It was a given that I was helping the boys earn the ribbons, so I really did not count that point. Figured, why make it easy on myself. As Cub Master I participate in every advancement award ceremony. Which the one I really count was the Arrow of Light/Crossover in which my troop guide and I worked up a ceremony for the boys.

For Community Service: Scouting for Food, Good Will Good Turn Day and a Tree Planting day. I lumped all of them together since it was easy. I found out that we did a Good Turn program and got the Pack involed in it for the first time.

Outdoors: This was kinda easy. Outdoor Conservation project, Cubscout Camp with the Bears, Summertime Activity Event of a baseball game & sleepover at the park. Also took my son Geocaching. I lumped them all together since most were already planned and easy.

Leadership: Since it was my goal within my Wood Badge ticket to have other earn it, I used that one. I did get a parent to step-up to be the Membership Chair/Records person. I also through our Council had the boys work on a Council Patch Requirements. We also made a poster related to our activities that we ended up sending to a friend serving overseas.
